Our bespoke and custom candle packaging has a minimum order quantity of 500 pieces per design/fragrance. When printing custom candle boxes, there are minimum costs for each manufacturing step that usually cover up to 1000 sheets, so the pricing is even better at this quantity. Any lower than 500 pieces and the average unit cost becomes increasingly higher and unrealistic.
If you are starting out and have 5 fragrances for example, this is 2500 boxes. For many this is too many pieces and also too much money when starting out. Also a lot of storage space :(
Starting out you may also not be sure what fragrances will be more popular than others. You may also want to add just a seasonal fragrance or plan to refresh your packaging design each year.
One solution used by many customers is to order one well designed candle box with all of your branding and generic details that is on all of the candle boxes. This can also include your logo or other common elements in gold foiling or embossing.
When this box is designed, thought is put into the overall design so you can apply a well designed label that complements the box design to indicate the individual fragrances. Each label can include text, background colours and other design elements to indicate the different fragrances.
Using this solution, it is much more simpler to reorder a small quantity of labels for a better selling fragrance, or add a new fragrance.

So a possible solution is to order 1000 candle boxes and initially 50 pieces each of 5 different fragrance labels.
